- Hello! I'm Carl. I used to be an instructor at a big box shooting range, now I give shooting lessons pro-bono. Ammunition, range fees, PPE, and loaner firearms are all provided for. Over the years I've taught several hundred students with varying levels of experience, so I do my best to meet students wherever they are. I give private lessons as well as small group classes if you have a partner or friends you'd like to accompany you. For brand new shooters or people on the fence, I like to run through an online class so you aren't going in blind and can decide if you want to commit to an in-person class. The topics here can be tailored to your needs. I'm comfortable teaching handguns and rifles, and my instruction tends to focus on concealed carry, personal protection, practical shooting, and mechanical skill development. I do my best to stay on top of developments in the gear and training world, and I enjoy passing that knowledge on to my students. I'm also a competitive USPSA shooter, so I train and take classes frequently to keep my own skills sharp. Things are really, really bad out there, so even if you're just considering owning/carrying a gun, please use me as a resource. If you are gun-curious but on the fence, I am also happy to field any questions about shooting, carrying, or firearms ownership.
