Chris took us out to the range and let us shoot all sorts of guns.
I definitely do not recommend this person.
Could not even get to making an appoinment.
He was defensive and combatant from the start and made assumptions about me.
What happened to the three goals?!

I am sorry to hear this happened, we did learn this person is no longer a volunteer I am also sorry for the very delayed response, we were not aware that the system wasn't pushing the reviews out like it was supposed to.

Gatekeeping

I am sorry to hear this happened, I am also sorry for the very delayed response, we were not aware that the system wasn't pushing the reviews out like it was supposed to.
Aaron instructed a group of ten of us in an introduction to gun safety and basic marksmanship. Most people in the class had never held a firearm before. He was incredibly kind and patient with everyone. His class was informative and interesting. He covered safety, ammunition, types of weapons, and finally marksmanship. Everyone had an opportunity to shoot a pistol, most for the first time in their lives.
I would highly recommend taking any firearms instruction from Aaron. I am planning on organizing more groups for basic instruction, and several of us are considering getting our CCL and using Aaron as our instructor.
I met Marty for a day at the range and had a great time and learning experience with him!
Marty made sure I understood and reiterated everything that makes shooting safe, effective and enjoyable. He took his time explaining the operation of his handguns and shooting fundamentals which translated to my shot improving while at the range. He is knowledgeable of the laws and requirements (and there are MANY) for shooting and owning firearms within NYC, and is a great help to anyone curious in that process.
Most importantly, Marty is a great asset and ally to our community. He is welcoming and open to all and you will feel comfortable and safe with him. Also, the range in NJ that you shoot at with him, seems very apolitical and the staff is professional and their only focus is for you to shoot safe, enjoy it and improve.
We ended the day with a great meal and conversations! Hoping to do it again!
